Gemlead for X Extension

This Privacy Policy describes how the Gemlead for X Chrome Extension ("Extension", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

The Extension collects the following information:

• X (Twitter) Cookies: When you click "Copy credentials", the Extension reads cookies from x.com and twitter.com domains to extract authentication tokens.
• CSRF Token (ct0): A security token required for X API authentication.
• User ID: Your X account user ID, extracted from cookies to identify your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

The Extension copies your X credentials to your clipboard so you can paste them into the Gemlead platform. This enables Gemlead to:

• Sync your X inbox and conversations.
• Send direct messages on your behalf.
• Scrape public profile information.

3. Data Storage and Transmission

The Extension does NOT:

• Store your credentials on any server.
• Transmit your credentials to any third party (except when you manually paste them into Gemlead).
• Track your browsing activity.
• Collect analytics or usage data.

Your credentials are only copied to your local clipboard and remain under your control.

4. Permissions

The Extension requires the following permissions:

• cookies: To read X authentication cookies.
• activeTab: To detect when you are on x.com.
• scripting: To extract your username from the page.
• Host permissions for x.com and twitter.com: To access cookies from these domains.

5. Security

We take security seriously. The Extension operates entirely client-side and does not communicate with any external servers. Your credentials never leave your browser until you choose to paste them.

6. Third-Party Services

When you paste your credentials into Gemlead, they are subject to Gemlead's Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how Gemlead handles your data.

7. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• You can uninstall the Extension at any time to revoke all permissions.
• Credentials are only copied when you explicitly click "Copy credentials".
• You can clear your clipboard at any time to remove copied credentials.

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through an Extension update.
